There are three versions of the conversation.
- “Listening” brings you to the chronological version.
- “It was ugly” brings you to an a-chronological version that begins in the middle and offers a choice at one point to return to the chronological version or continue with an abbreviated finale.
- “She took it” leads to an independent, achronological version of the conversation that reads as a different conversation that itself proceeds chronologically.
The chronological version (“Listening”) indicates the link texts for the other two texts to give a sense of what links would be involved in maintaining all three with ordinary hyperlinks. Link texts for “It was ugly” are underlined. Link texts for “she took it” are in italics.
